Building media literacy skills for the next generation DW Akademie / Cambodian Ministry of Education
DW Akademie, Germany's largest media development organization, collaborates with the Cambodian Ministry of Education to boost media and information literacy (MIL) among students by introducing the subject in middle schools and high schools across the country and through digital tools.
One of those efforts is a MIL chatbot, whose content I created based on curricula I had written for a MIL teacher training program.
The chatbot was launched in 2024 and reaches students around the country.
The chatbot incorporates text, graphics and video to make it appealing to young people. It covers topics such as disinformation online, digital privacy and security, social media best practices, AI, and more.
